The Kingston Dyslexia
Association is a Registered Charity (No.1004745).
Who are we?
The Kingston
Dyslexia Association (KDA) is a charity run entirely by volunteers. It caters
for the Borough of Kingston upon Thames and is affiliated to the British
Dyslexia Association.
Most of us are
either dyslexic or have dyslexic children.
We provide
friendly advice and support. We have a telephone helpline ( 07961 375561 )
and can provide information packs.
We offer a
befriender service to assist parents who are negotiating with the school
and / or Borough of Kingston as to their child's Individual Education
Plan (‘IEP’).
We hold 6 talks a
year for teachers, other professional support staff and parents. Click here for
Talks
We also run an annual, and very well attended, Dyslexia
Friendly Schools Conference for teachers.
